It&#039;s certainly changing charitable lending, but I wonder what effect (if any) it will have on brick-and-mortar banking institutions, especially in the wake of the economic crisis.</description>

		<description>Thanks for mentioning my post on social lending networks, I didn&#039;t include Kiva because the post focused on networks you could invest in (for the purposes of earning a return), which isn&#039;t something you do with Kiva. I think the microlending model of Kiva and others are great for the developing world.</description>
